Special Congregational Meeting
We are excited to notify the members of Grace of a congregational meeting for the purpose of electing the Search Committee for our next Senior Pastor, followed by a season of congregational prayer.
This meeting will be held on Sunday, March 21, 2021, at 9:45 a.m. outside in the parking lot at the church. The stage will be located in the grassy area near the main entrance. You may either sit in your car and listen on the radio (103.1 FM), or you can bring a chair and sit outside. Immediately following the vote, we will have a time of corporate prayer for the Lord's leading of our church as we take this next step.
Our Senior Pastor Search Committee is nominated by the Session and elected by the members of the church. The Session will place into nomination the following slate of members, each of whom after prayerful consideration has accepted this nomination.
The Grace Presbyterian Session expresses its appreciation for the many recommendations that were received from the congregation and for our nominees who are willing to serve on the search committee. At the March 21 congregational meeting, the congregation will be given the opportunity to amend the Session’s motion by making further nominations to run against the Session’s nominees. Although this is not normally done, if anyone desires to do so, please obtain the permission of the nominee ahead of time, and secure the approval of another member who will second the nomination. If there are no other nominations, this slate will be elected by acclamation.
Please plan to attend this important meeting and even now be in prayer as we seek God’s leading for our next Senior Pastor.
