The Vision of Grace 150
We are celebrating our 150th Anniversary this year! Grace Presbyterian Church was established on May 1, 1868. We will be having a celebration during the Sunday School hour (9:45-10:45) on Sunday, June 3, in the Worship Center. We are also undertaking the challenge of the Grace 150 Campaign to bless as we have been blessed. We want to ensure that the grace we have received from faithful generations is available to future generations. It must reach the hearts and lives of our children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren—and the new children God is bringing from all nations.
In order for Grace to nurture the children that God is committing to our care and spiritual development, we need to address the following priorities:
- Mortgage Elimination
We need to pay off the balance of our mortgate to free us from the burden of debt and release those funds into ministry.
- Children's Ministry
We need to make upgrades and enhancements to our facility, especially in the children's area.
- Global Discipleship
We want to continue to invest in the global witness and evangelism of future generations by enabling and supporting media and mission activity around the world.
The Goals of Grace 150
$2,100,000 — Retiring the Mortgage $550,000 — Enhancing Children's Ministry $150,000 — Furthering Global Discipleship $2,800,000 — Total Financial Goal

Vacation Bible School (VBS) 2018
Join us for our FREE Vacation Bible School!
Grace Presbyterian Church in Peoria, Illinois
June 11–15, 2018
For 3-year-olds through 6th grade
(Based on child's age at the start of VBS or the grade they just completed.)
The week is packed with fun crafts, engaging Bible stories, yummy snacks, inflatables from Fun on the Run, tie-dyeing a sourvenir t-shirt, singing action songs, and so much more!
We've been hosting VBS for over 75 years! We love the children of this community and look forward each year to providing a fun-filled week of learning more about God.
Our Bible School is unique because we do not use a standard commercial VBS curriculum. Instead, each Children's Department uses a custom-made curriculum geared right to that age group. This allows your child to attend other neighboring VBS programs knowing you will not repeat the curriculum.
We'll celebrate the week with a closing program on Friday, June 15, at 7 p.m. Everyone is invited! Your child will receive specific information for their department during Bible School. For general information, you can see our Event Calendar.
For more information, please contact Julie.
Pre-registration will close June 8. Walk-ins are always welcome!
We need at least 350 volunteers to run a successful and organized Bible School program. Just a few of the positions we need filled are table helpers, table leaders, snack people, music leaders, secretaries, and many more! For more information about volunteering in VBS, click here.
The VBS Informational Meeting is May 30 at 6:30 p.m. This is where you will get your supplies, schedule, and other important information about serving during VBS.
If you are seventh grade or older and would like to volunteer for this fun, rewarding event, please click the link below to register. ALL volunteers must register by filling out the Volunteer Information Form. Someone will contact you with more information. If you need more information in the meantime, contact Julie.
