Welcome to Grace Kidz!

Grace Kidz is the place your child will enjoy fun and engaging lessons taught by Volunteers who have been screened and trained to teach your child the truths of the Bible and show them the love of God in a variety of ways.

Grace Kidz partners with parents to raise children who love God and walk in His ways. Together, we are endeavoring to “train up a child in the way he should go, so when he is old he will not depart from it.” (Proverbs 22:6)

Our Mission is to “make disciples for life.” We want to see children following Christ in all spheres of life – at home, at school, and in the community. This discipleship starts now and continues for a lifetime.

    New to Grace Kidz?

We are excited you are getting to know us through our website. We hope to meet you in person really soon! Here is some information that might make that first in-person visit easier.

    Service Times

Our children’s classrooms are staffed, beginning 15 minutes prior to the first class time for that department. You may check-in your children electronically up to 30 minutes prior to the first class’s start time.

    Our service times are:

    Sundays
    8:30 for Infants through Pre-K 5’s
    9:45 a.m. for Infants through 6th Grade
    11:00 a.m. for Infants through 2nd Grade

    Wednesdays
    6:30 p.m. for Infants through 6th grade

    Location

Grace Kidz is located on the North side of the church. There are two convenient locations to park and enter the church.

Visitor Parking is located in the front (East side) of the church. When you come in the main doors of the church, Grace Kidz is located on your right, just past the Welcome Desk.

Family Parking for new and expectant families is located on the North side of the church near the back. When you enter through the canopy doors, Grace Kidz is located on your left.

    Registration

On your first visit, please check-in at the Children’s Welcome Desk, located in the Main Level Grace Kidz Hallway.

A Grace Kidz Volunteer will walk you through the check-in process. They will ask you for pertinent information, such as your child’s name, birthdate, and if your child has any allergies. Once a nametag is printed, a volunteer will walk you to your child’s classroom and explain how to pick up your child using your unique security code. Feel free to ask them any questions you have!

We know getting out of the house with children can be hectic!

Your son refuses to wear socks. Your daughter won’t wear anything but her Cinderella dress from last Halloween. And your baby spits up all over your new shirt. Now, you are running late. On days like that, you can rest assured that there is a loving and patient Grace Kidz Volunteer waiting to take your children as they are, whenever you can get here! If you forget to bring a diaper or sippy cup, we have extras on hand for you to borrow. You can then relax in your own “grown up class,” knowing someone else is lovingly taking care of your children for a while.

    We value family worship, too!

Children of all ages are welcome to attend the Worship Services with their families. We have special children’s bulletins to keep your child occupied, but focused on God’s word.

Here are some resources you might find helpful as parents

Nursing Room: This room is reserved for nursing moms only and is found just inside our Purple (Infant) Room. You may come and go as needed. There are comfortable gliders and a Monitor, where the Worship Service is live streamed.

Cry Room: This room is just outside the back right side of the Worship Center and can be used by all members of the family. The Worship Service is live streamed, so you can still be a part of the service, while you tend to your child in a more relaxed atmosphere.

Changing Stations: There is a Diaper Changing Station in all our public restrooms. You are also welcome to use the Changing Station in our Purple (Infant) or Blue (Toddler) Rooms, where you will have access to wet wipes and diapers, if needed.

Family Restroom: In addition to the Public Restrooms throughout the building, there is a Family Restroom, located near the North/Canopy Entrance.

    Nursery
    (Infant and Toddler)

Our Nursery is a place for your child to be lovingly cared for by volunteers who have been screened, background checked, and who have a special place in their heart for the youngest of our Grace Kidz.

Each room has a Team Leader who will make sure policies and procedures are being followed and who oversees the Volunteers in the room. When you drop your child off, the Team Leader will ask you some questions so we can be sure to provide the best care for your child’s unique needs. You can use this time to share any concerns, instructions, or questions you have.

Toys and equipment are available in differing developmental levels so that we may best cater to the physical and emotional needs of your child.

If your baby or toddler needs you, you will be paged. Just come back to the room and the Team Leader will explain why you were paged.

Do I need to bring anything?

Please bring the supplies your child will need for the duration of their stay. While we have a few extra supplies, children are most comforted by the items they are used to. To save time, please label your child’s items before drop-off. If you forget, we will have tape and markers available.

What will my child be doing?

We believe that Babies and Toddlers are not too young to start hearing God’s Word. We use the Gospel Project for Babies and Toddlers, which include “Bible Gems” and simple activities to teach your child Biblical truths. Your child might hear Bible songs sung, a Bible story read, or be told how much God loves them.

For more information, see our {FAQ’s} page.

    Preschool

Whether your child is full of energy or a bit shy, our volunteers are looking forward to spending time with him or her and showing them God’s love in fun ways preschoolers will appreciate.

Our Volunteers have been screened, background checked, and trained to care for your child and teach them Biblical truths. They enjoy being with preschoolers and having fun right along with them.

What your child will be learning: We use the Gospel Project for Preschoolers as our curriculum. The curriculum takes them through the entire Bible, where they’ll see how Jesus is connected to each story. Preschoolers will understand the Bible is not just a collection of stories, but one unified story – God’s story of redemption.

What your child might do: The program starts with free play in the classrooms, where your child will find a variety of toys and activities to keep them imagining and learning. During warm weather, your child might enjoy our playground, located right outside their classrooms. The Bible Lesson time will consist of a variety of activities, including singing, Puppets, a short Video Lesson, a Bible Story, and a game or other activity. Your child will also complete a craft or coloring page.

If your preschooler needs you: You will be paged. Just come back to the room and the Coordinator will explain why you were paged.

    School Age
    (1st - 6th Grade)

School-aged children are gaining knowledge and experiences with the world around them. At Grace Kidz, we want that to include the spiritual aspect, too. Our screened, background checked, and trained volunteers love teaching children this age and getting to know them more personally.

To find out how to check in your child, click here.

What your child will be learning:

We’ll learn about God’s word, who God is, and how to live a God-honoring life. Our 1st – 4th graders use the Gospel Project for Kids. The curriculum takes them through the entire Bible, where they’ll see how Jesus is connected to each story. Children will understand the Bible is not just a collection of stories, but one unified story – God’s story of redemption.

Our 5th and 6th Graders use the Gospel Project for Students. This curriculum follows the same storyline, but gets much deeper into the stories, as students will discover the big picture of what God has been doing throughout redemptive history, and what it means for them.

    What your child might do:

Your child will be welcomed by their small group teacher so they can connect and get caught up on each other’s week. Then they will move to a large group time, where they will worship the Lord with singing, watch a short lesson video, and do an activity related to the lesson. Time will also be spent learning Bible verses and “The Big Picture Question." Afterward, they will meet in a small group with the same friends and a dedicated teacher each week so relationships can be built and deep discussions can take place.

    Well-Versed Kid Program:

We value Bible Memory and encourage the children to memorize Bible Passages in our Well-versed Kid program. This program is optional, as most memorization will be done at home. Each grade level is given a different set of key verses and passages to memorize. Once a set of verses is memorized, your child will be awarded a ribbon. Other prizes might also be awarded. If your child can recite all the verses in the packet at once, they become a Well-versed Kid! They will receive a gift certificate and recognition in the Worship Service.

    Special Needs

Grace Presbyterian believes ALL children are indispensable members of the Grace family. We cherish our Special Needs children as God’s gifts to our congregation.

We strive to have every child participate in our activities with the rest of the group. We place special needs children with a teacher who especially loves them and patiently teaches your child in the way they best learn. If your child needs extra support, they will be paired with a trained Buddy who will give them the extra help and comfort they need. If needed, we also have “break out rooms” for those times your child needs a quiet place or access to various manipulatives and activities.

We have many events, just for Special Needs Families, including Drop-in Date Nights, and Family Open Gym. For a complete list of events, click here.

    Register:

If possible, please register your Special Needs child before attending so we can be sure to have the support they need waiting for them when you arrive. After filling out the form, our Special Needs Coordinator will contact you to discuss the special needs your child has and the best way we can support your family.
